Cantilena is four young men with thrash metal in their hearts. Their journey began in April of 2009, when members of Estonia's two old-school metal-bands decided to start playing the music closest to their souls. Now, the band has given over fifty live performances, and they released six of their best pieces as the Metallinn Digi EP in 2010. Cantilena's music brings their audience honesty, aggression and respect; their divisive live show never leaves a single soul indifferent.
During this short time Cantilena has already given more than 70 live-performances and appeared in various festivals such us Hard Rock Laager, kRock u Maybutne (Ukraine), Devilstone (Lithuania) and Tallinn Music Week. In 2012 Cantilena was also the warm-up artist for Sepultura and in 2013 for Overkill.
On the 14th of April 2012 Cantilena's first official album was released. It's called Violent Peace.
